She said that makers have used her story without her permission.
A court case has been registered against Tollywood producer Dil Raju and four others under the Copy Right Act.
Shyamala Rani claimed that her novel Namanasu Korindi Ninne was written in 2008 and was later published by Sahithi Publications in 2010, stated a Times Of India report.
The court then directed Madhapur Police to register a case against Dil Raju, director K Dasarath, co-producers Sirish and Lakshman and dialogue writer Abburi Ravi. She moved to Miyapur court and accused the filmmakers of cheating. In 2013, she watched Mr Perfect on TV, and realised that numerous scenes depicted and dialogues were very similar to her novel. They have been booked under at least four sections of IPC, including conspiracy and cheating.
Talking to a daily, Shyamala told that she was unable to sell the story of her novel to Tamil producer. When she saw Mr Perfect, she realised that her story has been stolen.
Mr Perfect stars Prabhas, Taapsee Pannu and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. It follows the story of an eccentric man played by Prabhas who eventually realises the importance of family and relationships. What is surprising is six years after the film's release, the novelist has come forward to file the complaint.
Dil Raju is one of the prominent producers in Telugu cinema and has delivered several hits.
Moreover, he has acquired the rights of the three most anticipated films in Tollywood this year, and they are Mahesh Babu's Spyder, Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa and Pawan Kalyan's untitled film.
