The police found blood, large amounts of drugs and cash when they searched the North Philadelphia home of a man questioned in the disappearance of a Temple University student last seen near the campus, according to a report. What led police to the residence was not immediately known.
Late Friday night, police responded to a home on the 1700 block of North 16 Street, almost a block from where Burleigh was last seen. Her last known location was around Pub Webb, a bar and restaurant at 1527 Cecil B. Moore Ave.
YC discovered that her body was found in Wayne County.
Police said Hupperterz transferred the body from his apartment near the Temple campus to a property in Jenkintown, and then his grandmother's property in Wayne County. Police say at this time they have no indication of a previous relationship between the two. Police also brought in a cadaver dog, but it did not find anything. This comes after police searched homes in Philadelphia, Jenkintown, and Lackawanna County, Pa. Sources said one person, described as a friend of Burleigh's, was picked up for questioning at his grandmother's home in Scranton, which is in Lackawanna County.
No charges have been filed in the case.
Charlie Leone, the executive director of Temple's Campus Safety Services, told PhillyVoice on Saturday that Burleigh's family contacted Temple police when Burleigh never came home Thursday.
There were no immediate details as to where her body was found or the circumstances surrounding the discovery. The post has since been shared almost 19,000 times.
"We are aggressively investigating, continuing our investigation working with our police partners from Philadelphia and Lower Salford".
