In a few months from now, it will get the Android 8.0 Oreo.
As per the statements of HMD Global, Nokia 3 has started receiving updates in its Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Following Marshmallow is Lollipop (5.0 and 5.1) at a total of 28.8%, while Nougat is in third place with 15.8% (14.2% for 7.0 and 1.6% for 7.1). The screenshot you see above comes from the GFXbench listing, which has now been updated to include build Android 8.0.0.
Although now under limited release, Google plans to expand the Android Oreo update into other Android phones before the end of 2017.
The Nokia 3, which was launched earlier this year, has finally received the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. The report claims that users need to have at least 50% battery in the device at the time of installing the update.
We already know that Nokia is also working on its Nokia 9 smartphone which is said to be released at the end of Q3.
"According to the previous leaks and reports, Nokia 9 will features a 5.5-5.7" full HD display with resolution of 2k. It will be powered by the very powerful but supremely efficient Snapdragon 835 SoC which is expected to come paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
In terms of the camera, it features 8-megapixel cameras on both front and back of the device with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size along. There is no official announcement by Nokia yet but thanks to the XDA community for willingly sharing the link to the software update file. So, don't worry if you didn't receive the notification, till then you check manually by going straight into Settings About Phone System Updates.
