He'll be the last person introduced before today's Texans - Jaguars game at NRG Stadium. Watt went above and beyond when it came to raising money for Houston's recovery following Hurricane Harvey, with his crowdfunded drive raising over $31 million to assist with relief efforts.
Because Hurricane Irma is approaching Florida and leaving widespread damage in its wake, the Jaguars plan to spend an extra night and day in Houston until they're able to return to Jacksonville.
The Texans have dedicated the season to Houston and everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Between the return of J.J. Watt to the defense and the increased reliability at quarterback with Tom Savage, the Texans seem better off than at this point a year ago.
Watt's fund has meant and will mean so much to the city of Houston. As of Sunday evening, more than $31million was raised for the city. "There are no guarantees in football - that's not what I'm here to say".
And before Sunday's game, Watt delivered a message for Houston.
