While most rumours quite expectedly focused on the apparent bezel less design or the OLED display however a new leak has left us all surprised.
Apple will be unveiling the new iPhone models along with a few other exciting new products on the 12 of this month. The price of the handset is not unexpected, as the Cupertino based tech company already sells its iPhone 7 Plus 256GB model for $969. The addition of those service means a customers will actually pay $844 for the iPhone 8. This offer sounds like a hybrid of what some analysts are saying Apple may do to lure in customers to reach into their wallets for the iPhone 8.
Analysts have identified one way the company can persuade Apple enthusiasts to purchase the 10th year anniversary smartphone. A year of Apple Music costs about $120, while the iCloud 200GB plan costs $2.99 a month. Nonetheless, when the smartphone was combined with the free Apple Music subscription and 200GB iCloud storage, the number became greater to 64.4 million. The name "iPhone X" was inscribed on the box replacing the spot otherwise the text "iPhone 8" would have occupied.
Last week, 9to5Mac reported that Apple's 2017 iPhone lineup would consist of three phones: the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone Edition.
With the iPhone 8 rolling out with an all-glass front, its Touch ID feature will be located under the power button. As market analyst Wamsi Mohan puts it, "anything significantly over $1,000 as the price for the lowest SKU of the iPhone 8 could be potentially detrimental to demand". Since Apple has removed the smartphone's physical home button, a new way to activate the virtual assistant is expected to be revealed. iOS developer Guilherme Rambo teased that he has discovered from the source code a certain gesture that should "invoke Siri".
