Chinese technology company Huawei on Wednesday launched Watch 2 wearables in three variants i.e. Launched earlier in this year globally, the watch will be available in India starting from September 13 at price starting from Rs 20,999.

According to the company, The watch with 4G support allows users to send messages or make calls without the need of a smartphone.

All the above functions are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. The Watch 2 comes with built-in sensors that can help track heart rate, calories burnt, distance traversed and various activities like running, jogging, and walking.

The Watch 2 models includes connectivity options such as NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System. One can connect the watch with both iOS and Android smartphones to access features like live notifications and in-app reply. Furthermore, you can instantly turn on workout mode in the Huawei Watch 2 app by simply pressing on the watch crown. The Huawei Watch 2 does offer all the features that a standard Android wear 2.0 operating system has to offer with a very rugged, longer lasting build-quality.

Huawei Watch 2 Sports (Bluetooth) is the basic variant and will be available at a price of Rs 20,999, whereas the Classic (Bluetooth) and Sports (4G) variants will cost Rs 25,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively and is available only in black colour option. "Truly next generation in every aspect", said P Sanjeev, Vice- President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group while speaking on the launch. The Huawei Watch 2 provides users more connectivity options, Android Wear 2.0 encased in stunning new looks. The Quick start running modes includes preset training like "fat burning run" and "cardio run". The Watch 2 also contained the array of sensors like 3-axis A + G sensor, 3-axis Gyroscope, 3-Axis Compass, Ambient Light Sensor, Barometer, and Heart Rate Sensor (PPG). With 4G, users can download standalone apps as well. Huawei Watch 2 will face competition with the likes of Samsung Gear S3, Apple Watch 2 and Moto 360 Sport among others. Huawei says the Watch 2 is smaller and more compact than the previous generation Huawei Watch.

The Watch 2 is measured at 45x48x12.6mm and its backed by a 420mAh battery which comes with Fast charging capabilities.
