The Emmys are the culmination of a year's worth of great TV and that celebration has finally arrived on Sunday evening.
This year, the Emmys will see a power-packed and star-studded list of presenters filled with Hollywood who's who - Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Priyanka Chopra (Quantico) and Adam Scott (Ghosted). Tonight, Stephen Colbert will take to the Emmys stage to host the 69th Annual Emmy Awards live on CBS which aim to honor the hard work and dedication by the stars, producers, writers and various individuals responsible for making our favorite shows must-see! On Saturday "Stars on Set: Emmys Story" will feature snaps from nominees and the sets of nominated shows like Veep and This Is Us. Why can't I show my butt? Stranger Things led the way for Netflix with 18 of the streaming service's 91 total nominations. "I shot a piece already where I was buck naked and they said, 'You can't show your butt, '" Colbert was quoted by Variety as having said at the red-carpet roll-out ceremony earlier this week. I love TV and all that it represents so the Emmys will be a nice gift for people who share my passion. Below, find all the need-to-know information for those who want to tune in.
The network, however will not live telecast the Rad Carpet arrival.
Kate McKinnon is competing in the supporting actress race for her spoofs of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and White House aide Kellyanne Conway on the live show that airs on Comcast (NASDAQ:) Corp's NBC. So be sure to be there for all the pregame festivities beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET before changing channels to CBS for the main event.
