In addition, Instagram has introduced a new uploading tool to get the most out of the new full-screen ads. This tool enables businesses to extend the reach of their existing creative by having it live permanently within Ads Manager and Power Editor for future use. A Facebook spokesperson said more than half of businesses on the site have created a story in the past month. Plus, the company wants advertisers to incorporate Instagram Stories into their campaigns across Facebook properties - it says Stories can now be added to Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network campaigns through placement optimization. With this, Facebook's goal seems to be to make Instagram Stories an important part of a marketers' media mix on the platform.
Instagram is rolling out the ability to share Stories - either your own or those made by others - in direct messages. Starting today, users can share Stories in Direct, simply by tapping the direct icon in the bottom right corner, selecting a friend or group to share it with and clicking on send.
