In a statement, Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal Friday said expressing solidarity with the Muslims of Myanmar was a national obligation but violence should be avoided while taking out rallies.
To a question, he said Pakistan had achieved many successes in war against terrorism.
Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal called upon the participants of the protest rally of religious parties to remain peaceful. The minister termed the Pak-UK ties cordial and long-lasting and based on strong historic links and the Pakistani community in Britain.
"The latest surge of terrorist attacks in Balochistan has been perpetrated by elements from the across the western border".
Ahsan asserted that the global community must acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices of Pakistan for maintaining peace and stability in the region. "Achievements and sacrifices by Pakistan against terrorism are unparalleled", he asserted. "We are determined to foil all conspiracies against Pakistan and restore peace to the region", the minister said.
The minister made these remarks during a meeting with the British High Commissioner here.
"All important steps are being taken to activate Nacta for monitoring of educational institutions", he said in an interview.
He suggested that both countries should strengthen economic relations. "Britain will not allow any citizen to sow the seeds of disharmony in any other country", he added.
