A "chemical incident" in South London is now under investigation after a number of residents in the area were reportedly rushed to hospital with symptoms including nausea and vomiting.
Alwold Crescent, in Lee, was placed on lockdown after emergency services sped to the residential street amid concerns of a chemical reaction.
London Fire Brigade said a chemical response team was trying to establish the cause.
The police told residents they were investigating whether the incident was terror related and they believed the problem was coming from the sewage system.
Five fire engines, paramedics and police are all on hand to deal with the incident. Some people have been removed as a precaution.
Witnesses said a number of people suffered a reaction to an unknown substance on Sunday morning.
They said: 'We are on scene at a chemical incident in SE12 with @LondonFire and @metpolice'.
I could see the emergency services outside my house.
