Shadow the fox can be purchased from both World of Warcraft's in-game Shop and the Blizzard Shop, with 100% of the proceeds raised by his adoption going towards disaster relief charities both domestic and global.

Shadow the Fox is available on the Battle.net shop now.

Their partners are the American Red Cross and International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) disaster relief funds, to whom 100% of your pet adoption fee will go.

Sales are going on now throughout December 31, so if you play World of Warcraft and want to drop a little cash on a pet, you can do so while helping support charities out there meant to mend some of the damage caused by the hurricanes. This purchase is not tax deductible.

World of Warcraft offers a myriad of in-game pets for players to buy, via their online store, and has in the past released a charity event during their convention Blizzcon.

Blizzard is helping people affected by disasters big and small by making a gift to American Red Cross Disaster Relief and supporting worldwide disaster response by supporting the IFRC Disaster Relief Emergency Fund.

You can support these fund raising efforts by "adopting" one of these shadow foxes here. At the end of the day, curl up next to this cuddly canidae and admire its colour-changing coat with its light and shadow effects. No papers to sign, and it's already had all its shots!

Once it's activated, Shadow will be applied to all present and future characters on a single Blizzard Account. Also you can use it to fight for its life in pet battles, if you're a monster.
