On Wednesday, Airtel had announced the strategic connection with South Korean telecom operator SK Telecom.
Bharti Airtel last week alleged that Reliance Jio Infocomm has been misleading the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) through false claims that India's top three telecommunication providers had gained nearly Rs 1 lakh crore in the past five years by not lowering the interconnect usage charge (IUC).
The AI network operating solution offered by SK Telecom optimizes telecommunications traffic on networks and automatically restores the system when an error is detected.
For 5G, to evolve standards, the two companies will also collaborate on an on going basis.
During this month, SK Telecom will start the project by dispatching core network specialists to India to analyze the local network structure and evaluating necessary resources to raise quality satisfaction. This has one partnership that will decisively alter the game in India.
The two firms will work together to build advanced telecom networks and in developing fifth-generation (5G) technology, Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV), Software-defined Networking (SDN) and Internet of Things (IoT).
In addition to improving its network technology across India, Airtel will also develop its 5G business which may be introduced in India as early as next year. Both the companies will work to improve the experience of Airtel customers in India by leveraging all the expertise from the South Korean telco, who has built one of the most superior mobile broadband networks in the planet.
Among the Indian telecom operators, there has a quest for delivering high-speed mobile broadband to customers.
SK Telecom and Nokia have reduced the latency between LTE handset and base station from 25ms to 2ms by applying Uplink Pre-Scheduling, a technology that enables the handset to immediately transmit data to the base station, and short Transmission Time Interval (TTI), a technology that reduces data transmission time between base station and handset to about 1/7.
"Strong partnerships have been a hallmark of Airtel's growth journey and we are proud to have always looked ahead to bring the latest technology to India".
