The Xbox Insider Program is a community that lets Xbox users help Microsoft test and evaluate upcoming system updates before they are released to the public. This means Xbox gamers will now be able to easily opt into the Xbox Insider program and gain earlier access to the latest system updates and flighted games!
The Alpha ring, for example, is now able to test the new dashboard design that was announced recently, before this trickles down to Beta and the newly branded Delta and Omega tiers. In return, members are encouraged to give feedback on their experience via the Insider app.
One important note for users who select enrollment in the Delta group to be aware of: a portion of Delta Insiders will receive preview builds earlier than others, based on a random lottery process.
If you want to take a step back, because it's too time consuming or simply using up too much bandwidth - as outlined in the table below - then you can do so.
As we said earlier, the Xbox Insider Team is working closely with multiple 1 party and 3 party game studios to bring you playtests of unreleased games.
In addition to early updates, Microsoft is partnering with game developers to get beta access to certain games for Insider Program users as well.
Starting today, gamers can try out the first wave of self-published games in the newly added "Creators Collection" on Xbox One or under the "Games" category on the Windows 10 Store. Meaning if you have two Xbox One, then both can have a different level of access. It's easy to get started!
Xbox Live Creators Program allows any developer to directly publish their games - any of their games - to Xbox One consoles and Windows 10 PCs with a standard certification process already in place for any other app or game in the Universal Windows Platform ecosystem.
