This evening and overnight tonight clouds will stick around with temperatures in the lower 70s and a good chance to see some of those outer rain bands make their way to the I-20 corridor.
Rain showers are likely, especially to begin the morning. The warming trend continues into Thursday as we should finally be able to crack the 80-degree mark for the first time in a week. Saturday looks a bit wetter with highs in the lower to mid 80s.
INVEST 93L: A disturbance in the eastern Atlantic has a high chance of becoming a tropical storm in coming days as it moves west/northwest. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including meteorologists at ABC 33/40. Humidity will be on the rise as well with dew points in the 60s by afternoon. Winds will be from the northeast at 10-15 miles per hour. Again the forecast looks better, with a mix of sun and clouds and only an outside risk of some rain during the game.
Rain and storms remain possible for parts of the Chicago area after a short-lived severe thunderstorm warning expired Monday afternoon for Will and Cook counties. However, we can still expect rainfall to lift into our area during the day Tuesday into Tuesday night on the north side of the system.
Forecasters say potential tropical cyclone ten is expected to become tropical storm Irma on Tuesday, and is then expected to accelerate toward the northeast and evolve into a large and fairly intense post-tropical storm.
While we were previously thinking that Harvey's rain would stay to the south of New England, it now appears that a cold front approaching us for next Monday - Labor Day - will pick up some moisture from Harvey, which could mean some periods of heavy rain for us - though certainly nothing remotely close to what Texas is experiencing!
