The confirmation came in a response to a United States customer's query on Twitter whether "Android Oreo is coming to HTC 10?"
What's coming in Android 8.0 Oreo?
HTC USA took to Twitter to announce that HTC U11 will be the company's first device to receive the Android Oreo update and if things go as planned, phone owners will be able get taste of Google's sweet mobile OS in the fourth quarter (October-December). HTC is one of the first companies to have announced an official timeline.
Oreo, which was launched to coincide with the solar eclipse, ain't about flashy new features, and Google is instead hoping to improve the Android user experience through "vitals", which will see it focus on improvements to battery life, stability, and security.
Google has said that Android Oreo will begin rolling out to the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and the Nexus Player shortly, once carrier testing is complete, while those on the Android beta programme will start receiving the final version of Android 8.0 from today.
Just the other day Google officially announced Android 8.0 Oreo and that the update would soon be pushed out to devices like the Pixel and Nexus handsets, which we guess is to be expected for Google phones, but the question is what about other non-Google phones? A few days back Google has released the latest Android operating system which comes loaded with some interesting features like picture-in-picture mode, autofill, Instant Apps, Google Play Protect and much more.
