Tottenham Hotspur will consider not going ahead with a bid for Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley if they are able to sign Pape Cheikh Diop and Davinson Sanchez in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
The deal would eclipse the £30m Spurs spent on both Erik Lamela in 2013 and Moussa Sissoko on deadline day past year.
To date he's featured across 47 official matches for the Amsterdammers, and becoming an integral part of a young Ajax team, registering seven goals and creating a further two for his teammates.
Reputable English and Dutch outlets aren't running with the rumor yet, so you shouldn't get your hopes up yet, but Gerard Romero uses some definitive language here - he says that Sanchez is going to be a Tottenham player, and that Spurs will pay €35 million.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino believes Sanchez is the ideal fit for his back three, and the youngster could end up playing alongside two other former Ajax players in Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
Inter Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid have also made enquiries about the £40million-rated Sanchez but Tottenham's intent and the prospect of playing under Mauricio Pochettino has convinced him it is the right move for the next stage in his career.
