Anno 1800 is now being showcased at the gamescom show floor in its pre-alpha stage, but fans will have to wait quite some time to get their hands on the game, as the official release window is set for Winter 2018.
In Anno 1800, players will have the chance to prove their skills as a ruler, as they create huge metropolises, plan efficient logistic networks, explore and settle new lands and dominate their opponents by diplomacy, trade or warfare.
Alongside complex city-building we can expect a campaign in the game as well as online matches and a sandbox mode, and if you're wondering when we can expect this, Anno 1800 is set to release in the fourth quarter of 2018 on PC. "Are you renovator or exploiter?"
Some companies use YouTube, others use livestreams, Ubisoft have let industry website MCV announce their next game via Twitter. Ubisoft also shared a trailer for the game giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the Anno 1800 timeline. With the game still in pre-alpha, attendees will only be given a hands-off presentation and an opportunity to ask questions to development team Blue Byte.
Gamers will be able to help the studio shape the future of the franchise, as they are regularly invited to share their feedback, vote on features, create content and get the chance to take part in play tests during its development.
