Ten beds in hospitals with a capacity of more than 300 beds, five beds in hospitals with 100 to 300 beds and two beds in hospitals having 50 beds, have been reserved for the patients of swine flu, Sahu said.

The total count for swine flu patients since January has reached 209 in Lucknow and 368 in the state. The Jamnagar and Kutch districts have been worst-hit, officials said, adding that several awareness activities have been initiated in schools as a preventive measure.
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Environment and Urban Development, Shakar Chaudhary informed that more than 1000 cases of H1N1 have been reported in July this year, of which 150 patients couldn't survive.
