US citizens in North Korea DOOMED if Kim and Trump continue on nuke warpath

During a discussion at the Netroots Nation Annual Conference on Friday, DNC Deputy Chair Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) stated President Trump is threatening Kim Jong-un and that North Korea's leader is acting in a more responsible manner than the president is.

They have become wearily accustomed to living under the shadow of nuclear war, but Trump's hawkish outbursts and the contradictory messages of his administration's North Korea policy have added an extra fear factor that has put many South Korean citizens on edge.

Trump has not backed down from his fiery warnings from North Korea, offering a third stern warning in a week to Pyongyang on Friday.

"If anything, maybe that statement wasn't tough enough", said Trump of his blistering message to the defiant Stalinist state a day earlier.

Jeremy Corbyn-ally Chris Williamson said the US President was "playing into the hands of Kim Jong-un" with his response to threats of missiles being fired at the American territory of Guam. "If you don't want to be a deer in the headlights, start calling for diplomacy immediately".

After the panel wrapped up, Ellison walked back his remarks to Dave Weigel of The Washington Post.

"It's tailor-made for somebody to misuse", Ellison said. I'd say, he's being incredibly irresponsible, and he's putting us in a situation where you could have an accidental launch.

We should challenge Kim to present a new face to the world and offer to come in and provide whatever assistance they need to make the whole thing a success.

"That was one of those I wish I'd not said", Ellison told the Post.

Ahrens was not alone in his criticism, as many reactions on Twitter agreed.
