The Definitive Edition contains the inclusion of the fifth robot frame that was missing from the original release.

A futuristic game from developers Comcept and Armature Studios, ReCore follows the story of Joule Adams and some trusty Corebot companions that aid her in her journey.

ReCore Definitive Edition is a: 4K UHD, HDR, Xbox One X Enhanced, Xbox Play Anywhere title. For anyone who's wary of buying, that might be a nice way to rent instead. Owners of the current base-version of ReCore will get the Definitive Edition at no extra charge.

As with numerous games that are being remastered or re-released this generation, this one is going to be adopting 4K support on the Xbox One X. If you're not satisfied by the addition of some shiny new textures, you're also going to be getting access to the new "Eye of Obsidian" adventure, as well as the "T8-NK" Corebot frame.
