"The next few weeks are very exciting as it marks the culmination of Operation Health and the release of our next season set in Hong Kong".
A new image was shared on the official R6 Twitter page of Chinese graffiti, which apparently translates to "Fun Park". There's no word on when this will happen however so we'll have to wait for another announcement from Ubisoft.
While these have been hosted on dedicated servers since 2016, Ubisoft is changing the rules a little bit.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong season had actually been delayed so Ubisoft can give way to a series of major update and game fixes under the project dubbed as Operation Health.
The Hong Kong-dedicated season will launch sometime this month and will be followed by another installment located in South Korea which will offer another set of new characters, maps, and weapons sometime in November. Only two players are needed in a match for dedicated servers and though player-hosted lobbies are no longer a thing, it means a significantly more reliable experience over the previous peer-to-peer structure.
"Finally, we have made a decision to reduce the number of new maps to three this year (including the released map set in Spain) to truly prioritize our game's health".
Rainbow Six Siege has been undergoing a substantial overhaul since earlier this summer, and now Ubisoft detailed the game's latest big update. The Terrorist Hunt game mode, which previously saw numerous issues with host migrations when players would leave matches, will now also be hosted on dedicated servers.
"Once this feature has been deployed, you will only need two players in a Custom Match lobby to ensure that your match will be hosted on a dedicated server".
