In search of a replacement for Neymar, who left under unfavourable circumstances, Barcelona may well end up stealing Paris Saint-Germain star Angel Di Maria.

In the tiny Brittany town of Guingamp, with a population of around 7,000, tickets for the match have been changing hands for a king's ransom as the Stade du Rouduorou has a capacity of just over 17,000.

PSG boss Unai Emery, at a pre-match press conference, was quoted as saying by BBC that Neymar was "physically ready to start".

"He's been working well and we looked hard at tactics and free-kicks".

That figure has been reduced over the course of various appeals from Neymar's camp, who have calculated the £1.9m figure they believe will wipe the slate clean.

"The way we will adapt being close to a player like him..."

"We received the CIT and Neymar can play on Sunday", a spokesperson for the LFP said in a statement to BBC Sport.

"We could have filled a stadium of 40,000 seats with no problem at all", said Guingamp president Bertrand Desplat whose club budget is an eighth of what PSG paid for Neymar. Beating PSG with Neymar would be even more resounding.

- Tottenham's Danny Rose is wanted by Manchester United, the Mirror claims, as Jose Mourinho has decided signing a new left-back is now an issue that needs resolving.

The 25-year-old forward can play for the Ligue 1 side at Guingamp on Sunday.

Les Parisiens won 2:0 at home convincingly against relegation candidates Amiens SC, but they could have easily scored more as they dominated through the ninety minutes.

"There is no reason for this hold-up to continue", he told French sports daily L'Equipe.

Despite spending some downtime relaxing with his team-mates, Neymar will be eager to make his debut and impress his new supporters.

Barcelona have already had bids for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele rejected by both clubs.

Sport claims PSG have agreed a €180 million deal with their Ligue 1 rivals for the 18-year-old France worldwide, who was also said to be a target for Barcelona and Manchester City.
