Paul Pogba "very happy" to have Romelu Lukaku as teammate

David Moyes Believes Paul Pogba Not At The 'Special' Level Of Past United Greats

"It would be silly to dismiss Chelsea after the way they played so dominantly past year but looking at the teams, I think City and United will be up there and the teams to watch".

"I think both the Manchester sides are the teams to beat this year".

Moyes admits that he did not see Fellaini an automatic starter when he brought him to Old Trafford in 2013. Scoring goals, that's what we were expecting.

Pogba returned to Old Trafford with a huge reputation after winning four Italian top-flight titles during a four-season stay in Turin.

"We [Lukaku and Pogba] talked about it last season, wondering if one day we would play together and it's happened this season so I'm very happy".

So, the former United boss believes Pogba is a top player and a solid addition to the squad but that when push comes to shove, he is not convinced he has the ability in him to make the difference when it matters.

"He was never someone who was going to play in all the games at United".

"As you rightly said, if you look at the games that he played under Louis van Gaal and now under Jose Mourinho, he's vital".

There have been three new arrivals at United so far this summer, including Pogba's friend Romelu Lukaku who made a £90m move from Everton, and the Frenchman is backing the players to succeed.

"Last season he reminded me at times of when United signed Juan Sebastian Veron".

"It's very important for us that our strikers score goals", the midfielder told MUTV. I'm not sure about that.

'But I do think that the machine that Manchester United are now, the size, the players they've got, you know they've got a massive stature to their team, I think Pogba adds to that.

It's unlikely that the midfielder will start for the Reds in Skopje because of his lack of match fitness, but there is no doubt he would make an impact if he were to play some part during the game.

Michael Carrick has heaped praise on the signing of Nemanja Matic at Manchester United, insisting that the two-time Premier League victor knows what it takes to win at the highest level.
