The five songs tagged "Not to be Broadcasted" by NBC include tracks like Wavy Level and Wo by Olamide, Fall and IF (remix) by Davido, and Living Things by Alapomeji CEO, 9ice.

Over the past few days, there had been news making rounds about the ban on some songs from Nigerian air waves.

The ministry revealed that "Wo" which featured a line where Olamide mentions cigarettes, contravenes Nigeria's laws on Tobacco advertising, promotion & sponsorship.

They said the video, which was recently released by the YBNL boss, also contains practices accompanied with risks of cancers, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.

The ministry twitted at the weekend that the music video is in violation of Tobacco Control Act 2015.

The singer and song writer has come out to debunk the assumption that he was promoting tobacco.

A person that produces or publishes advertising, promotion or sponsorship content shall attract a fine of not less than N3,000,000 and a term of imprisonment of not more than one year.
