It's a pretty common practice for manufacturers to upload their custom system applications to the Play Store. However, a new report suggests Nokia 8 could be the first non-Google smartphone to come with Android O inside. If this is any indication, we might soon see the dial-like UI make its way into the Nokia Camera app. Photographers looking for more convenient access to finer camera controls will definitely appreciate this addition. Likewise, this does also now mean that the Camera app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store directly. Most of the reviews consist of people complaining about camera performance on the lower-end Nokia 5 and 3 devices, but there are a few valid complaints as well. Otherwise, the app already comes pre-installed in Nokia phones holding no extra advantage for users.
HMD, the company responsible for Nokia-branded smartphones, has promised to provide regular software updates to its new Android handsets. In Play Store's description for Nokia camera app, it has been mentioned as, "Camera application for Nokia phones".
Inside Nokia Camera, there's an inclusion of different tools such as Compass tag, Compass, Spirit level, Altitude, Altitude tag, and Grid.
