Neymar's lawyer now says that they will not report Barcelona to Federation Internationale de Football Association and says that lines of communication are still open between the two sides.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria before the end of the current transfer window.

Hostility between the two sides reached new levels as Qatar-backed PSG took Neymar from under the nose of Barcelona, in doing so acquiring their natural heir to the throne of Messi.

In 91 appearances for Les Parisiens, the player has scored 29 goals while also providing 40 assists.

According to Marca, despite relations between Barca and PSG being strained from Neymar's world-record, €222m transfer to Parc des Princes, the Blaugrana see Di Maria's arrival "with very good eyes".

With the prospect of reduced game time looming large, the player is open to seeking pastures anew should an opportunity present itself.

"The biggest clubs can decide on that, where they would want to set a limit".

There's no doubting Di Maria's ability, though, as he has the ability to win matches singlehandedly.

It's easy to see why Barcelona are chasing him, as well as Madrid.

Neymar's departure has left them short with Andres Iniesta also on the wane.

Barcelona are said to have outlined Dembele as a man who could potentially fill the void left by Neymar on the flank. They just set that amount randomly.

Di Maria already has allies at the Nou Camp in the form of global team-mates Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano and could be keen on a switch if he loses his place to Neymar with the World Cup coming up next summer.

Barcelona, though, face a big stumbling block in their pursuit of the player as their relationship with PSG is now at its lowest ebb.

Barcelona fans may feel a little underwhelmed if they did go after Di Maria, though, as he's undoubtedly past his best.
