Train services from Srinagar-to Banihal via south Kashmir have been suspended Friday for "security reasons" following the killing of militants in in Anantnag. While the slain militant was identified, the identity of the other person is still unknown.

The encounter broke late last night at Kanibal in Bijbehara of Anantnag district, 55 kms from here, when the police along with Army and CRPF cordoned off a village following an intelligence input about the presence of militants, they said. While the HM's Shergujri was killed in the exchange of fire, two terrorists managed to escape in the cover of darkness.

"It was learnt that one individual riding a motorcycle with erased last numeral got killed in cross firing".
