Rouhani added that productionØ creation of job opportunities and economic prosperity were very important for the country at the current juncture.
The Russian expert said cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terror has produced "significant results", especially in efforts to help ease the Syrian crisis.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that his country looks at Russian Federation as a top priority to ink contracts with in the post-nuclear deal era.
Araqchi described the motion as an appropriate measure in response to the "hostile and malicious" policies of the US.
He emphasized that Iran had always lived up to its commitments under the JCPOA, stressing that the country will continue to enlighten the world public opinion.
"What the Americans have so far done is definitely at odds with the letter and spirit of the JCPOA", he said.
Ghasemi argued Saturday that the U.S. had violated that agreement by linking the missile program to the nuclear deal and restricting Iranian banking activities in the U.S. He argued that Iran's latest missile tests don't break the agreement because the weapons are defensive.
On Friday, the US was joined by Britain, France and Germany in condemning Iran's recent launch of a satellite-carrying rocket and warned that it violated a United Nations resolution implementing the 2015 nuclear deal.
The UN Security Council later unanimously endorsed a resolution that effectively turned the accord into worldwide law.
