The actress will next be seen in an action movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard".
The world's top protection agent, Michael Bryce (Reynolds), is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, Darius Kincaid (Jackson), one of the world's most notorious hitmen. "They're the only reason that 'The Hitman's Bodyguard doesn't sink into the generic quicksand from whence it came".
The plot is relatively straight-forward - Reynolds plays Michael Bryce, a down-on-his-luck executive protection agent (which is a fancy name for a bodyguard) who is called upon to transport one of the world's most notorious hitmen in the world, Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) to an global court of law to testify against brutal Russian dictator (the always great Gary Oldman).
"I love the bond between Bryce and Kincaid", says Reynolds.
They encounter auto chases, boat mishaps and a murderous European dictator played by Gary Oldman. "These two guys couldn't be more polarized but as we move through the story they start to acquire begrudging love and respect for each other".
Directed by Tom O'Connor, the film also stars Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, and Joaquim de Almeida. "It's been so easy and fabulous to be his wife, even if she's his insane wife, you can see why they are meant for each other".
"The Hitman's Bodyguard" opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, Aug. 18.
