Despite conceding three goals against Leicester, goalkeeper Petr Cech on Saturday hailed Arsenal's "beautiful" come-from-behind 4-3 Premier League victory on Friday night.
Substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud each scored in the final seven minutes to hand Arsenal a win over the 2016 champions.
"Giroud? He's fantastic", Wenger said of the France worldwide, who usually started on the bench last season and had been linked with a move away from The Emirates.
"I love the man and the player", Wenger told Sky Sports.
"It was one of the great days".
Wenger was also pleased with new French signing Alexandre Lacazette, who scored after 94 seconds to equal the record for the fastest opening goal of a Premier League season.
'We have to take the positives out of the game, we have gone toe-to-toe with Arsenal over 90 minutes and I don't think many teams will come here and do that.
"I opened the door for him, because I knew we had many strikers, but he's really loved here and he chose to stay". "We're working on other options but we're relaxed given our squad is 90 per cent complete", added Monchi in quotes reported on the Roma website.
Unfortunately for the 31-year-old and his team, it was the only time they would cross the line in the game - the Tigers running away winners 23-4 in the match to comfortably sit ten points clear at the top of the UK Super League table.
"With the first corner, we were late".
"He doesn't want to leave and I'm happy that he wants to stay".
