Variety has released its list of the highest-paid TV actors of the past year, and coming in tied for third in the drama category are the stars of the phenomenally popular HBO show Game of Thrones.
In terms of actors in drama TV series, only Robert De Niro ($775,000 per episode for a still-untitled Amazon project) and Mark Harmon ($525,000 for NCIS) earned more than the GoT stars, according to Variety.
Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, who plays Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, and Kit Harrington, who stars as Jon Snow, are reported to make approximately $500,000 (£390,000) per episode. Clarke, Harington, and the rest earn just over half of the $900,000 the principal actors on The Big Bang Theory (Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Jim Parsons) bring down per episode. It has however, got a director in the form of David O Russell.
Game Of Thrones, whose seventh season finale is set to air on Sunday, now shows Kit's Jon Snow joining forces with Emilia's Mother of Dragons Daenerys to take on Lena's sinister and ruthless Cersei as their battle for the throne comes to a head.
