Knight of the Frozen Throne is the sixth expansion for the card game and should go live in the Americas region on August 10, while Europe and Asia regions will get it on August 11.
Rise and harness the dread powers of a Death Knight for yourself when Knights of the Frozen Throne arrives on August 10! Players don't have to buy the expansion, as the cards can be obtained with in-game gold.
This set takes its inspiration from one of Warcraft's greatest villains, the Lich King Arthas, and the World of Warcraft raid centered around him, Icecrown Citadel.
Knights of the Frozen Throne features a new power called Lifesteal. Players can prepurchase a 50-card pack for $49.99.
Blizzard is also bringing back single-player content, like that found in previous expansions, with the exception being Journey to Un'Goro. Complete a special Arena quest each week to be rewarded with a Knights of the Frozen Throne card pack that you can open once Knights of the Frozen Throne arrives. However, Shadow Reflection leaves your hand at the end of each turn, which means you can only use it to copy (and them play) cards with a maximum mana cost of five or less. The offer, however, can only be availed once per account.
