Both former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and Priebus left during his time as communications director.
"I come to you tonight a broken man", Colbert said to his "Late Show" audience.
Lewandowski's willingness to blame Priebus for the constant leaks comes after Trump fired Priebus and former communications director Anthony Scaramucci in quick succession.
"I could go on and on. you know what, let's!"
"Scaramucci's last name is longer than his tenure", Meyers said during his "Closer Look" segment.
The "Late Night" host also analyzed Priebus' firing. But their one-liners had a short shelf life.
A constant supporter of President Trump, Lewandowski explained away any notion of chaos or mismanagement in the White House, saying that newly appointed Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly will take command.
So naturally, late-night hosts were in mourning.
TONIGHT: A dejected Stephen Colbert feels like he's been front-stabbed in the heart after learning of The Mooch's resignation. Noah lamented that he "just bought the Scaramucci 2017 jersey" and that he hadn't "even finished my Scaramucci tattoo". (It was unclear if he was joking or not).
Earlier on Monday, Colbert tweeted, "Scaramucci, we barely knewcci".
"We've got a four-star general taking command of the White House", Lewandowski said on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning. Said some dumb stuff, now I'm out.
He joked that it was time for him to get rid of all of his mooch memorabilia - his "moochandise".
"The Mooch lasted as communications director for only ten days! Ten!" Colbert said. "His going away party can serve what's left of his welcome cake". Though he isn't dead yet, it seems likely that Scaramucci has lost far more than he gained in his term - the shortest in USA history - as communications director. "They can change "congratulations" to 'congratulater'".
"He said he was going to fire everybody and I got to admit he delivered", the CBS host said.
On Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", Trevor Noah also took a sarcastically melancholy approach to bidding the Trump-like New Yorker farewell, featuring an "in memoriam" tribute similar to those broadcast at the Academy Awards.
"Mama, my job had just begun".
But "the Mooch" hadn't even technically started his job, Noah said, noting that Scaramucci's official start date was slated to be August 15.
"It's like the song of the summer", Noah said. "Since we went away for vacation, Sean Spicer is out Reince Priebus is out, Trumpcare is dead and Kim Jong Un has a missile that can reach NY and weirdly I don't feel exhausted from all the winning yet, I really don't". "It's like Donald Trump is a tornado and the White House keeps hiring new maids".
Others in late night, such as Seth Meyers of NBC's "Late Night", shared in Colbert's disbelief over the sudden departure of Scaramucci.
Meyers called out Scaramucci - "114 pounds of Alfredo sauce, hair gel and rage" - for trashing Priebus (in the viral New Yorker phone call).
Jimmy Fallon, in recounting the news of the day, he added a make-believe twist: "This was a little awkward".
"Trump was like, 'You don't text your wife after she has your baby". Scaramucci's wife denied those reports through her lawyer.
As for Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC host said he had an "exclusive interview" with Scaramucci over the phone. The fake audio played was nearly entirely bleeped out due to profanity - spoofing Scaramucci's vulgar rants in a New Yorker interview.
