Just a short while ago, Google revealed the launch date for Android O. The event is set for 21 August at 2:40 PM ET and will take place in NY.
Past year the LG V20 was the first phone to arrive with Android Nougat out of the box. Google had stated that the Android O OS would be "touching down" on the 21st of August. The list of upcoming devices includes the Galaxy Note 8 (unveiling next week), LG V30 (days later), and Google's Pixel 2 phones (shortly thereafter).
Who'll be first to Android O?
In this very month, Google announced that Instant Apps were now compatible with all Pixel and Nexus devices in India. If you don't make any changes, all of an app's notifications will show up. Today, Google is helping you do just that with the release of video previews in search results on Android. Video apps will be able to add support for picture-in-picture mode in Android O as well.
For ensuring a secure environment for privacy and data for a user, along with hardware the software aspects especially apps also need to be taken in to account. Oreo has been one of the more common guesses online, and it wouldn't be the first time Google has partnered with a company to name Android. Once the app is loaded, users can use it just like any other app that has been downloaded from Google Play Store.
When Android Police dug into the details of the video, it revealed the actual file name of the video itself, which read as "GoogleOreo_Teaser_0817_noDroids (1).mp4".
Android O - the gen-next Android Operating System has been awaited for quite a while now.
