While he played the quintessential chocolate boy in OK Kanmani, the original version of the Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor's romantic drama Ok Jaanu, Dulquer Salmaan is now gearing up for Bollywood.
Mithila Palkar shot to fame with her performance in web series such as Girl In The City and Little Things, and recently also starred in a Marathi film titled Muramba. Dulquer Salmaan wanted to take his own sweet time in planning his Bollywood debut and it seems he has finally made up his mind about his dream debut in Bollywood. As per a source close to the project, it was revealed, "It's a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip".
If reports are to be believed, popular Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan was initially approached for Dulquer Salmaan's part in the movies, but the former had to opt out due to date clashes. Let's hope that the son has better luck.
The 31-year-old actor has delivered critically acclaimed and commercially successful films in Malayalam and Tamil since his 2012 debut, Second Show.
If the movie happens, it would be a real treat for all Dulquer Salmaan fans and we, the Malayalam film audiences will see him scaling newer heights. Then there are also Parava, directed by Soubin Shahir and a movie with Anjali Menon.
