Capcom will give fans a closer look at Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on the PS4 and Xbox One later today. This version is enhanced with "high resolution visuals" according to Capcom, so expect 1080p 30FPS and possibly even support for 4K visuals on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles.
The Dark Arisen re-release, which we scored a 7.9, came almost a year later in 2013, bringing with it an extra 15 hours of new late game content and plenty of tweaks. Players get to choose between nine job classes for their hero, with the rest of the group being controlled by the game. Unique to Dragon's Dogma is its "pawn" system. At the same time, players could hire other player-made pawns to help them in battle. Not long ago we received news that Dragon's Dogma, the critically acclaimed title of the last generation, would be getting a remaster. This expanded version is now being released for consoles also. Since its launch, Dragon's Dogma Online has reached more than two million downloads across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.
When it was first revealed in Japan, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was announced as a part of celebrating the series' fifth anniversary.
Dark Arisen comes out on 3rd October on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be available both digitally and physically, which should please both sides of the aisle.
