Early Thursday, Deuce went to Instagram with pics of him performing in a wheelchair despite a doctor's initial suggestion to nix his tour. 2 Chainz wrote on Instagram, and it's hard to disagree with him - this is a GOAT move from someone who clearly loves his fans.
Following the opening date in Tucson, Arizona, 2 Chainz will head to the West Coast, Chicago, and NY, before concluding at the end of December. He also shared the story regarding why he was temporarily handicapped. Most of us would not embark on a massive 35-city cross-country tour 10 days after breaking a leg. The Atlanta rapper made it clear that he has no intention of stopping the show, even after his doctor told him "well, looks like your gonna have to cancel your tour".
His solution certainly was imaginative: 2 Chainz found a pink wheelchair, scrawled the word "trap" on the back, and performed his entire set with his leg hoisted up. Remember never let anyone or anything get in the way of you being great! "If I can do it you can too". Although he couldn't walk, he was able to wheel around the stage a little bit to show each section some love.
The outing is now scheduled to run through a September 30 gig in Columbia, South Carolina and a spokesperson tells Billboard the rapper is expected to perform all the scheduled gigs on the tour despite his injury.
