With a 94 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a booming $167.8 million at the box office, Edgar Wright's Baby Driver is what most critics would consider a "commercial success".

You should note that the WRX in the movie is a 2006 Limited model and it has been modified for the movie. But it's no ordinary WRX, to be fair. Still, the opening scene drives home the concept of the movie and shows off the vehicle in question, a modified Subaru WRX Limited. According to the eBay listing, the auto is far from stock; beyond the repaint to red, the WRX was converted to rear-wheel-drive, received upgraded rear differentials, and also had a 2004 WRX STI turbo installed. It was tuned by Doug Wilkes at DBW Motorsport. It was also used by Subaru and Sony for the LA Premiere Red Carpet event.

The listing claims the vehicle only has a few minor dings and scratches and is in otherwise good condition at 168,000 miles, and the current bid is at $19,100 as of publishing this article which... seems like a gouge for this auto minus all of the, you know, movie fame.

The original colour was grey, but someone's chose to respray it bright red. It's one of just three remaining examples that were used in the film, according to the seller.
