At the time, Fifth Harmony released a statement announcing the split, claiming that they had been spent more than a year trying to "communicate to her and her team all of the reasons why we felt Fifth Harmony deserved one more album of her time". Fifth Harmony members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui spoke candidly about self-love, the group's new direction post-Camila Cabello and their upcoming third studio album in a new interview for Seventeen magazine's September/October issue.
She went on to say that there are going to be some R&B flares and it's going to be an exciting album as the audience are going to be able to hear the group's different elements.
"It's so handsome having four women on the same page".
"We're focusing on this new era".
The "I Know What You Did Last Summer" singer said penning her own songs is "totally different", but insisted she finds it "more fun". "You get to hear us as you've never heard us before".
"We've had some highs and some very, very sad lows, but together we're writing our new narrative", Brooke, 24, told the mag.
"Who said I was an angel?".
"I've had times where everyone's like, 'Wow, you look so skinny!"
Not only is the quartet confident in their music, they're also confident in who they are.
Fifth Harmony's new album will be released on 25 August. It's a problem that so many little girls - whether they're African-American, Latin, whatever - can't identify with what they see.
