"Timeless" star Abigail Spencer is going to pull a double shift when she joins "Grey's Anatomy" in Season 14 for a multi-episode arc.

Megan was originally portrayed by Bridget Regan, who was unable to resume the role due to scheduling conflicts with her work on TNT's The Last Ship.

Despite only one appearance last season, the character of Owen's sister is expected to have a much larger presence in the upcoming season. Regan now stars alongside Grey's Anatomy alum Eric Dane on The Last Ship.

Are you excited to see the new Megan Hunt and how she impacts the life of Owen, Nathan and Meredith?

Megan, while serving in the army, was romantically linked to Owen's best friend Nathan (Martin Henderson), who is now involved with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo).

Megan Hunt was presumed dead after her helicopter went missing, but it was revealed in the season 13 finale that she is actually alive.

Grey's Anatomy returns with a special 2-hour season premiere on Thursday, September 28 beginning at 8/7c on ABC! .

As reported by TVLine, Spencer's role on Grey's Anatomy will not affect her status on NBC's Timeless - which will begin filming its second season in January.
