Dileep's WhatsApp message to DGP can not be considered as a complaint

The case is under the court’s consideration and to talk about it now would amount to contempt of court.

Kochi: DGP Loknath Behra said that he will give an explanation in the court for the allegations raised by actor Dileep in his new bail petition submitted to the High Court.

It may be recalled that in his bail plea, Dileep said that he had informed DGP Loknath Behera about the threatening phone call made by Suni to Dileep from jail.

Both the versions of Dileep and police are true. However, police said the actor complained after 20 days of the incident.

Dileep is accused of masterminding the assault and molestation of a Malayalam actress in February.

The prime accused in the case – a history-sheeter named Pulsar Suni – has implicated him in the case, telling investigators it was the actor-filmmaker at whose insistence he molested the actress in her own auto and took objectionable photos of her during the act so she could be blackmailed. If the cops were to receive any complaint from a person who is a suspect, they need to investigate more.

Dileep was arrested on July 10, following hours of questioning.

The High Court had rejected a bail application from the actor earlier. Suni might have been around there in the hotel. They managed to influence the media, a section of police officials and political leaders, it is alleged.

The actor also said in his plea that his arrest mere months before his daughter turned 18, which pointed to some foul play in the entire process.
