The restricted free agent received an offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets that would pay him $106 million over four years.

They had made it clear they meant to exercise their right to match any offer to Porter, a source reiterated to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk on Tuesday night.

Porter will receive $106 million for four years.

The Wizards were expected to match any competing offer on Porter's services. The franchise has an $11.4 million tax bill with 13 guaranteed contracts and two non-guaranteed contracts.

The Houston Rockets have agreed to a contract extension with star guard James Harden that will make him the highest-paid player in National Basketball Association history, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst. So the deal will not be finalized completely until next Wednesday evening.

The Wizards made it clear that they meant to match any offer thrown Porter's way, but they admittedly hoped it was for a more cap-friendly deal.

Financial considerations aside, Washington should be thrilled to have Porter back. Although Porter's production waned after the all-star break - from February to March, his shooting dipped 10 percentage points - he still finished the season with a 43.4 percentage from behind the arc.

Otto Porter has to be a happy man right now.

"I hope so", Oubre said.

The eight-year veteran finished second in the league with 29.1 points per game last season while leading the National Basketball Association with 11.2 assists per game.
