Seventy percent of Americans in a new poll said they think President Trump's actions since the inauguration have not been presidential.
Despite having an overall low rating, statistics reveal dramatic differences in approval from different groups - for example, conservative Republicans rate Trump at a 90% approval versus liberal Democrats rating him at 5%.
The poll also found that Barack Obama has 61 percent favorability rating, and Joe Biden is only one point behind him.
Trump tweeted about the poll on Sunday, saying "even though nearly 40% is not bad.[ABC/Washington Post poll] was just about the most inaccurate poll around election time!"
Results of the poll, carried out by the US Broadcaster ABC News and newspaper Washington Post, come amid a wider perceptions of a decline in US global influence, a much-delayed Republican agenda, and unfolding stories about alleged Russia's links to the 2016 Trump campaign. The margin of error was +/- 3.5 percentage points.
A total of 63 percent of respondents said the meeting was inappropriate, while just 26 percent said it was appropriate.
Only 33 percent of Republicans polled said Russian Federation tried to influence the election, compared with 80 percent of Democrats. In contrast, 31 percent said Russian Federation didn't try to influence the election and just 14 percent said Trump aides didn't help or Trump didn't benefit from Moscow's efforts. The poll also found that half of those surveyed preferred Obamacare to the GOP plan to replace it, while only 24 percent preferred the Republican plan.
Only 38% of Americans believe that Trump has made any significant progress towards the goals outlined in his campaign plan compared to a whopping 55% who believe he has not. Of those, 44 percent think Trump benefited from it and 41 percent believe that members of Trump's campaign helped these Russian efforts.
