Mr Trump and Mr Macron exchanged many handshakes during the course of his first visit to France as president, perhaps none more telling than after the parade.
French President Emmanuel Macron has thanked the United States for coming to the aid of France a century ago marking 100 years since the USA entry into World War I.
The footage shows Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron and their wives chatting after their tour of the museums at Les Invalides on Thursday. Trump spent a large portion of his day and a half in Paris with Macron, who went to extraordinary lengths to impress the US president by turning a day of national pride into a celebration of American patriotism and friendship between the two countries.
He added that it was his "high honour" to commemorate, on French soil, France's most historic day and the 100th anniversary of the entry of the United States into the First World War.
Mr Trump gave Mr Macron a lift to the French presidential palace in his armoured Cadillac limousine known as The Beast for their talks and a joint news conference.
Eight U.S. planes joined the parade, along with a detachment of 145 troops on the ground.
French President Emmanuel Macron reviews the troops during a ceremony in Nice, southern France on Friday.
"On this 14th of July, we celebrate France, we celebrate what unites us", Macron said in a very brief speech.
Macron, in a speech, thanked the USA for intervening in World War I and said the fact that Trump was at his side "is the sign of a friendship across the ages".
The traditional display of military might comes amid tight security, following two years of Islamic extremist attacks in France.
The two leaders, accompanied by the two first ladies plus ministers and officials watched a military parade on Friday in Paris which took place on the Champs Elysees from the Place de la Concorde.
Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron were expected at the parade's main viewing stand. Macron then heads to the southern city of Nice, where past year an extremist plowed a truck into the holiday crowd, killing dozens.
