Check out some of the reactions from fans after learning about the weekly edition of "Talking Smack" being cancelled on Friday.
The post-Smackdown talk-show, often hosted by Renee Young, blurred the lines between real personalities and kayfabe characters.
They sent the following statement to us today: "We continuously review WWE Network's programming line-up based on a variety of factors, including viewership and subscriber research".
That's the corporate answer to why it ended.
Since the Brand Split's revival, the fans have praised Talking Smack as one of the best and most organic shows the company has to offer. It's a reminder that when you have your own network like WWE does you can make those decisions on the fly.
On this week's episode of Still Real Radio we're talking about Samoa Joe's performance in his big Universal Championship match with Brock Lesnar, as well as all the highlights from WWE Great Balls of Fire. Others like Shane McMahon, John Bradshaw Layfield and even The Miz filled in as hosts at various times. Meanwhile, Cruiserweight series "205 Live" will continue to run Tuesday nights on the WWE Network and will follow "SmackDown". Going 45 minutes after Smackdown didn't help and ultimately led to the end of the show. The first wrestler to benefit from this program was The Miz who cut a scathing promo on Daniel Bryan that many people say revitalised his career. After Bryan insulted Miz's in-ring style, Miz dared him to quit and go back to the indies. WWE also airs two live pay-per-views a month and occasional live specials.
