In Mesa, Arizona, on Monday, a small plane carrying two people met with a crash that left all the people dead who were inside the plane, which hit the ground in a city golf course, says a fire department official.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration's Allen Kenitzer, the plane reported mechanical trouble and couldn't reach the airport.
The crash happened a half a mile from the approach of the runway, according to Kenitzer.
- Authorities have identified a pilot and his passenger who died after a small plane crashed and burned on a golf course in Mesa.
Mesa Fire Department officials say the plane went down at Longbow Golf Club, which is northeast of Falcon Field Airport.
THE FAA, along with the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
