With the recall of the Galaxy Note 7, there was speculation the Galaxy Note 8 might not even see the light of day, that Samsung might retire the name altogether in an attempt to bury the mess forever.
Samsung reportedly released invitations for its August 23 product launch in NY.
As we can see in the not-so mysterious phone in the teaser, Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 series will look nearly like the Galaxy S8 series, but with little adjustment at the bottom to accommodate the stylus.
Samsung has finally confirmed a dedicated press event for what is nearly certainly going to be the launch of the Galaxy Note 8.
The new Galaxy Note phablet will also come with an S-Pen with some advanced new features. The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone is expected to be pretty similar to the firm's recently-launched Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones.
There were talks of Samsung fully abandoning the Note branding after what happened with the Note 7, but before the whole fiasco occurred, the Note line was one of its most recognizable brands. The phone is also said to be the first high-end smartphone from Samsung to feature a dual-rear camera.
If past Galaxy smartphone events are any indication, this Samsung event will be a big to-do show that spans at least an hour's space in time. This means the Samsung Voice Assistant now supports fully English language which is a good thing for the entire world. And just like the Galaxy S8 flagships, depending on the region, the user will be able to purchase this smartphone with Snapdragon 835 chipset or an Exynos 8895 SoC under the hood. Looking at these Samsung Galaxy Note 8 renders we can see that there is some more space for the fingerprint sensor to operate. The handset will probably become available a little later, but still, it will hit the shelves before the Apple iPhone 8 will.
On the Note 8, however, it looks like Samsung may have addressed the issue, at least to a certain extent.
Samsung released 400,000 revamped Note 7 phones in South Korea only, where local reports suggest fired up fans are snapping them up like hot cakes. The Galaxy J7 2017 comes with 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via a micro SD card.
