Chelsea boss Antonio Conte searches for a striker to replace Diego Costa, who has been informed that he is not in the club's plans for next season and appears nearly certain to leave this summer. Romelu Lukaku was initially identified as the prime target to fulfil the role, but the Belgian got his head turned following interest from Manchester United.
Aguero has firmly established himself among the best players in the Premier League since his arrival on these shores, and would certainly be a statement acquisition.
Interestingly, it's added that Conte won't even face any resistance in his pursuit of the Argentina worldwide. Aguero has been prolific for City since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2011, although at 29-years-old and injury prone, it could be that youngster Gabriel Jesus begins to overshadow the Argentine at the Etihad.
And the tactician is allegedly more than happy for Chelsea to take Aguero off his hands, having already given his blessing to the proposed deal.
