Now, he's spending his summer giving back across the globe - and that includes holding the world's largest basketball lesson, setting a record with his massive clinic to grow the game in India.

It was the first time, an National Basketball Association professional was visiting the academy in India, which is coaching the 21 kids, who were picked after trials from all over the country.

"I really don't care about the Kyrie Irving situation", Durant said at the NBA Academy in India, according to ESPN. In addition to those at the training center, other kids took part in the lesson via satellite from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata to help set the new record. "It was an honor to coach these unbelievable kids and to be a part of this special day".

Here's a look at what else Durant is up to while in India. He is also expected to donate two new basketball courts to the Ramjas School in New Delhi, as part of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation's "Build It And They Will Ball" Courts Renovation Initiative.

The Reliance Foundation Junior NBA program has reached more than six million children and trained more than 5,000 physical education instructors nationwide since its launch in 2013.

For The Win reported on Saturday that Durant hosted 3,459 children at the NBA Academy India, which officially opened its doors in May.
