Magu stated this while speaking on Friday at a stakeholder's meeting in Kano.
"You know before we made that resolution the issue was debated".
"We have given it a resolution".
"Indeed, of all the positions listed in subsection 2 of the Constitution, it is only in the appointments of ambassadors and high commissioners made by the President which require the confirmation of the Senate".
NAIJ.com reported that the senator representing Abia South, Eyinanya Abaribe, had raised a motion that the country had no president or acting president at the moment, adding that, President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo were neither in the country, as at the time.
"He was brought to us for confirmation, and on the basis of damning reports from the DSS, we rejected him twice. It is left for Nigerians to see and we have done our part".
Magu also said that for Nigeria to move forward, everyone needs to join the anti-corruption fight at all levels.
He said "Corruption is a threat to the unity of this country and we must fight, despite the stumblingly blocks. I think the backing of the President and his vice is enough for us to win the fight and we shall win it, no doubt about that, the end of this fight is just around the corner".
"Agitations of restructuring the nation, Biafra and even Boko Haram are being financed by looters of the country". So, we must not fold our arms and let this endemic syndrome continue.
The EFCC chairman said Nigeria is very lucky that the country's leadership has since shown their honest desire towards wiping out corruption during their administration.
In that event, the cabal would prevail on President Buhari to resign, provided Osinbajo agreed to drop all corruption cases against senators and withdraw the federal government's appeal against a verdict of the Code of Conduct Tribunal that cleared Mr. Saraki of charges that he violated asset declaration laws.
Corruption has caused deterioration in the quality of infrastructure, healthcare delivery and education among others.
The looters are not up to 10,000 out of a population over one hundred million people.
"Fighting corruption in the country is compulsory to have a better society", Magu said.
